Dream Makers: imagine the world together features a selection of prints, paintings, paper works, art books, multimedia installations, digital and analogue media works and more made by students from 17 elementary schools, ages 5-13, working with and alongside artists as part of the Artist in residence studio program throughout the 2025/26 school year.
More than beautiful objects, these artworks give expression to children’s identities, hopes and dreams. Made in the context of community and in reciprocity with one another and the whole of nature, they also hold the possibility of our collective renewal through the peaceful practice of co-creation.
We invite you to dream with us: the wonder of the waters ebb and flow, the journey of the seeds, the form and texture of plants, the smells all around us, and the evocative poetry of place; to delight in the whimsical imagination of paper and animated sculptures and puppets, woven, spun and fabricated by hand, and to celebrate the contours of our unique selves, in drawing, clay, modified film and expressive movement.
